How To- Use “What If” to Your Advantage

“What if…”

It can be the start of a great adventure… or a living nightmare…

Which one depends on your mindset.

What if I told you worry and excitement are the same emotion?

Sound crazy?

Think of something really exciting. Where do you feel it? What does it feel like?

Now think of something really scary, something you would worry about. Where do you feel it? What does it feel like?

See?

Dr Wayne Dyer loved to say “if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”. Making the simple decision to think of things as “exciting” instead of “worrisome” will flip how you look at things.

So, what does this have to do with money?

Next time you are worried about money ask yourself “what if I had plenty of money in the bank?”. What would you be doing differently? How would you feel? Then start doing those things now.

It is not going to happen overnight, but as you start living like your future self, you will see it becoming reality.

You see, your brain does not know the difference between reality and imagination. So, if you can really imagine your future, amazing, successful self, your brain will rewiring itself to BE that person.

This is why guided meditations, vision boards, and giving yourself time to be creative are so impactful.

But, if you think you will “always be this way” or you are “doomed to failure”, your brain will bring that future to life.

Try it and see what happens.
