How To- Use the Law of Saving and Spending

For those of you are not yet aware, there are things called Universal Laws that apply to everyone and they apply to you, whether you know about them or not. These are things like gravity, buoyancy, and flight.

There are also a lot more.

Many of them have been passed down through the generations through sayings, old wives tales, and even stories in the Bible.

The Law of Saving and Spending basically comes down to “you will spend what you have so pay yourself first”.

Think about it. How many times have you said “I will put whatever I do not spend into savings”, then find yourself the day before payday with no money in your account. You may or may not know where it has all gone, but it is gone. Most likely it was “burning a hole in your pocket” and you know “the Universe abhors a vacuum”.

If you pay yourself first, you do not have to find the willpower not to spend it all.

So, try this experiment. As soon as your next paycheck is deposited, take 10% and move it to a different account. Bonus points if you put 2% each in your savings, future me (investing), education, play, and giving/tithing accounts. After all, you want to stay balanced, right?

Then see how much you have at the end of the pay period. Chances are you still will not have anything left in your account, but you probably will not miss it.

And, future you will thank current you down the road.

What is the worst that could happen? You find you really need the money and transfer it back to your checking account?

But, think of the whole new world it will open up if it is successful. You will find your financial world (and mindset) changing exponentially in a very short period of time.

Let me know how it goes.
